Our Locations

The Neighbourhood of Friends Family Resource Centre started as a Literacy Centre in the summer of 2004 with only one site located on 63 Moore’s Road in Clarenville.

Shortly thereafter, the Board of Directors decided to support parent-operated sites located in Southwest Arm and Swift Current. This enabled these sites to avail of the materials and services of the Literacy Centre. In early 2006, the Literacy Centre successfully secured core funding through the Early Childhood Development Initiative and became a Family Resource Centre. Because of the increase in families availing of our services, we moved to a larger location in Clarenville. We are now located at 86 Manitoba Drive, Suite 101.

This funding has enabled us to expand services to another two sites, as determined in a Needs Assessment conducted in early 2007. A new site was started in Come By Chance in October, 2007 and another new site was established in Random Island in November, 2007. We have continued to expand our services with the addition of a satellite location in Arnold's Cove in 2009.
